If you have an interest in obtaining a skill in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical construction and Power Technology planning or wiring, the Electrical Technology Program at LCTI might be for you. By combining the practical and the theoretical aspects of the trade, you will begin an exciting adventure toward a career in electrical construction. In LCTI’s CAP Electrical Program you will receive hands-on training in the skills needed to pursue this rewarding career. This training will provide you an opportunity to be part of a national apprenticeship program. Each step of development is completed at your pace.
Each year LCTI offers the opportunity for students to participate in community service projects, as well as projects that arise around LCTI. The CAP Electrical Construction students play a key role in the electrical wiring process of LCTI's award winning student built house project. This project along with many others will provide to the student's the practical hands-on experience utilized in today's workforce. Community projects such as Mayfair will demonstrate to the students the actual working environment of a day-to-day job that has a completion deadline. Classroom training allows students to progress from residential wiring to commercial/industrial wiring using equipment and systems currently used in the construction industry.
