Students in this program learn competencies in material handling while filing orders and delivering them within LCTI. They learn the safe use of material handling equipment, handheld scanners, inventory, stock control, order picking and packaging. The fully functioning distribution center will allow students to be exposed to state-of-the-art equipment and job practice, while developing readiness skills necessary to be successful in the logistics technology field. Advanced students receive merchandise and pack orders for Lehigh County school districts through the Lehigh County Joint Purchasing Board initiative and E-School Mall.
