Learn More About Service Occupations: Building Trades Maintenance
This program area introduces students to the carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and masonry trades through class projects and guided practices. Work readiness and safety training area are stressed in this program. After mastering basic competencies, students work on projects in the building and out in the community. Students work in various areas at the Lehigh Valley Zoo, in conjunction with the staff, to help maintain and beautify the site.
