Learn More About Floral Design & Greenhouse Management

Becoming part of the Floral Design & Greenhouse Management Program is an opportunity for you to combine your creativity with a sense of business, service and fun.  Students learn about growing, marketing and designing with flowers and plants. Career paths in this field include Greenhouse Crop and Nursery Workers, Greenhouse and Nursery Managers, Floral Designers, and Retail Sales Associates in Floral Shops and Garden Centers

In the Floral Design & Greenhouse Management Program, Lehigh Career and Technical Institute students have a chance to gain work experience at functions such as the Allentown Flower Show, internships with local florists and greenhouses where students are teamed one-on-one with an experienced mentor, and through the Lehigh Career and Technical Institute Greenhouse and Floral Shoppe, located in the Agricultural Complex on campus.

The Greenhouse and Floral Shoppe are open to staff and the public for any occasion. We offer a wide variety of arrangements and have the "Flower of the Month" which showcases a special flower arrangement or plant for sale. Visit the LCTI home page for a list of available items each month.

In today’s Floral Design & Greenhouse Management job market; there is a growing demand for experienced employment candidates who have business skills as well as horticulture knowledge.  With this in mind, Lehigh Career and Technical Institute instructors and counselors work to help their students prepare for higher education at a college, university or specialty school.  Our mission is to arm students with a basis that will help them achieve the highest career success.
