Students will explore many different technologies, including mechanics, pneumatics, control systems and robotics. Using industrial quality training equipment and interactive
multimedia, students will develop their academic and technical skills and apply those skills to design and construct an array of hands-on projects. Students will also learn to create 3D computer models and animations of their designs using Autodesk Inventor.
As they continue with the program, Pre-Engineering, students will explore the science behind the technology. They will learn the concepts and theories that form the foundation for engineering and work in teams to develop larger scale design projects. As part of the learning experience, students will have the opportunity to participate in job shadowing and internship programs, and earn college credit by completing courses via dual-enrollment programs with local colleges.
