Commercial Driver's License
Lehigh Career & Technical School in partnership with the SAGE Corporation, offers a professional tractor trailer driving program to prepare students for careers in the motor carrier field. The comprehensive program includes driver skill development, applied safety regulations and procedures, equipment maintenance and proper loading techniques as well as intra- and inter-state regulations. The training prepares graduates to obtain their Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and necessary endorsements, thus developing students for entry-level positions as professional tractor trailer drivers. LCTI's 150 hour course curriculum is certified by the Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI). (Schnecksville Campus Only)
The Professional Truck Driver Institute is a nonprofit organization sponsored by the nation's trucking industry to advise truck driving proficiency, safety, and professional standards among drivers. These in turn foster benefits for all stakeholders, including motor carriers, insurers, training schools, government bodies at all levels, funding organizations and the American public.
