Academic Center: Students create a Winter Wonderland

Students and staff turned Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s Academic Center into a Winter Wonderland.

SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. | Students and teachers teamed up this month to turn the Academic Center into a winter wonderland!

Rather than boughs of holly, they decked the halls with garland, snowflakes snowmen and winter scenes handmade with construction paper, wrapping paper and paint. They drew inspiration from the works of poet Robert Frost. Excerpts from several of his poems — “Desert Places,” “Dust of Snow,” “Fire and Ice” and “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” — are featured in the decor.

Pop culture references also abound with decor inspired by Festivus, the holiday created by “Seinfield” character George Costanza, the Snow Miser from “The Year Without a Santa Claus” and the popular Christmas song, “Baby It’s Cold Outside.”
