Free meals available for students during school closures

Girl holds lunch trayMany Lehigh County students and families rely on the free or reduced-price meals that schools provide. Last week’s announcement that Pennsylvania schools would be closed for two weeks amid the coronavirus outbreak means students won’t be able to get those meals at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute.

Fortunately, all of LCTI’s partner school districts have taken steps to make sure students who need meals can get them in their communities. Here’s how families who need free meals can get them for their school-age children:*

* Be sure to call ahead or check your school district’s website before visiting a meal distribution site. Districts continue to adjust the meal distribution times and sites to best meet public need.
