LCTI recognized the year’s top 10 co-op students during a ceremony attended by their teachers, families and employers.

SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa.  |Lehigh Career & Technical Institute has hundreds of students on co-op with dozens of Lehigh Valley companies. On Wednesday (April 24), the school’s Joint Operating Committee honored 10 outstanding co-op students who’ve found a new job site and now  have thoroughly impressed their employers while gaining resume-building experience and earning paychecks.

Joined by their LCTI instructors and co-op employers, the students were presented with certificates of achievement as their family members and friends looked on with pride during the evening ceremony.

This year’s outstanding co-op students are:

• Zaki Al-Bajali, a Carpentry student from Salisbury High School who is on co-op with Wirth Construction Inc. He was joined by Bret Wirth from Wirth.
• Alexander Cevicelow, a Web Design/Web Programming student from Parkland High School who is on co-op with Enter.Net Inc. He was joined by Erin Corsa from Enter.Net.
• Ryan Correll, a Plumbing & Heating student from Parkland who is on co-op with the Allentown School District. He was joined by Thomas Smith from the district.
• Victoria Creswell, a Dental Technology student from Salisbury who is on co-op with Oral Dynamics. She was joined by Kathy Bowen from Oral Dynamics.
• Kylee Goodin, a Welding Technology student from Southern Lehigh High School who is on co-op with Hart Mechanical. She was joined by Ricahrd Hart from Hart.
• Hunter Kuhns, an Auto Technology student from Northern Lehigh High School who is on co-op with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation-Lehigh County. He was joined by Jennifer Hodge from PennDOT.
• Shawn Mahoney, a Heavy Equipment Operations & Preventive Maintenance student from Southern Lehigh who is on co-op with Scheuermann Excavating Inc. He was joined by Paul Scheuermann from Scheuermann.
• Levi Nuss, a Precision Machine Tool Technology student from Parkland, is on co-op with Lutron Electronics. He was joined by Oliver Marsteller from Lutron.
• Jack Tuner, a Diesel Medium & Heavy Truck Technology student from Northwestern Lehigh High School, is on co-op with McGeehan’s Diesel. He was joined by Robert McGeehan from McGeehan.
• Clayton Weiss, an Electromechanical/Mechatronics Technology student from Southern Lehigh is on co-op with Yates Electrical Service Inc. He was joined by David Yates from Yates.
