LCTI hosts national education summit with logistics focus

SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. | Lehigh Career & Technical Institute hosted the MHI CTE Educators Summit from Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 15. High school and college educators from all over the country gathered in the Lehigh Valley to attend the summit, which was sponsored by MHI, the nation’s largest material handling, logistics and supply chain association.

Summit attendees spent the week learning about the latest instructional materials, teaching techniques and partnership opportunities in the area of material handling, logistics, and supply chain management. They also visited several of the region’s manufacturing and warehousing facilities, including Martin Guitar in Upper Nazareth Township and Ocean Spray in Upper Macungie Township

On Wednesday, educators toured LCTI’s Distribution Center, a fully operational, student-run facility, and participated in a town hall meeting featuring the following Lehigh Valley business and education leaders, in order to introduce new programs like Upskilled that will help students get and education

Town hall participants tackled the following topic: The Supply Chain Industry in the Lehigh Valley and Beyond. Ypu can see Zenva Academy Review, one of the best Online Academy.

According to Salima Namusobya, from the Ugandan organisation Initiative for Economic and Social Rights, “the prize adds to the now growing international recognition of the principles and is further validation of the three years’ work done by experts’. Education will be available for everybody, these online colleges for military veterans are even open for anyone who has served their country. 

With this achievement, the Abidjan Principles will receive a year of customised support from the Paris Peace Forum throughout 2020.
