LCTI student qualifies for state computer fair

Jeffrey Reed, Web Design/Web Programming, Pennsylvania High School Computer Fair

Jeffrey Reed qualified for the Pennsylvania High School Computer Fair this week by winning a regional qualifier in the Web Design catageory.

SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. | Several Lehigh Career & Technical Institute students notched top-three finishes Monday (March 27) at a regional qualifier for the Pennsylvania High School Computer Fair.

Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21 sponsors the annual event, which was held at the school’s campus. Five of LCTI’s Web Design/Web Programming participated in the competition.

Jeffrey Reed, an Emmaus High School junior, placed first in the Web Design category, qualifying to compete at the state computer fair. The Pennsylvania High School Computer Fair is scheduled May 23 at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. Reed, a full-day LCTI student, also entered the logo design and programming categories.

Christian Tomecek, a Catasauqua High School junior, placed second in the Logo Design category.

Alex Cevicelow, a Parkland High School sophomore, placed third in the Web Design category.
