LCTI students among top finishers at HOSA conference

Members of LCTI’s HOSA chapter participated recently in the student organization’s Pennsylvania conference.

LANCASTER, Pa. | Lehigh Career & Technical Institute students  were among the top finishers this month at the PENN HOSA State Leadership Conference.

HOSA members from LCTI’s Dental Technology, Emerging Health Professionals and Health Occupations programs traveled to Lancaster, Pa. for the March 8-10 conference.

Kacy Roblyer, a Salisbury High School student in the Dental Technology program, placed first in Dental Science.

A trio of Emerging Health Professionals students — Ryan Lichtenwalner, Erick Schenkenberger and Mark Stenske — won first place in Creative Problem Solving. Lichtenwalner attends Parkland High School; Schenkenberger and Stenske attend Northwestern Lehigh High School.

Placing third in Creative Problem solving was another group of students from the Emerging Health Professionals program: Sydney Andreus, Monica Mankos and Andrew Seyler. Andreus and Seyler attend Northwestern Lehigh; Mankos attends Northern Lehigh High School.

All of the first-place finishers qualified to compete at the HOSA International Leadership Conference, which is scheduled June 21-24 in Orlando, Fla.
