Three LCTI students qualify for national FBLA competition

Pennsylvania FBLA State State Leadership Conference 2017

LCTI students competed April 2-5 at the Pennsylvania FBLA State State Leadership Conference.

HERSHEY, Pa. | Three Lehigh Career & Technical Institute students qualified for nationals this week (April 2-5) at the Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference.

Students who place among the top four in each competitive category earn an FBLA  National Leadership Conference berth. If for some reason a top-four finisher is unable to attend nationals, the next ranking competitor in the same category is tapped to replace them.

LCTI’s national qualifiers are:

Tyler Young, Marketing & Business Education • Parkland High School
Future Business Leader, First Place

Christian Kingsley, Computer & Networking Technology • Catasauqua High School
Computer Problem Solving, Third Place

Joshua Tulloch, Web Design/Web Programming • Catasauqua High School
Website Design, Fifth Place

This year’s FBLA National Leadership Conference is June 27-July 3 in Anaheim, California.

Martinez also finished third in a promotional video contest for the FBLA’s 2016-17 state project, the National Kidney Foundation. The event was not a national qualifier.
