Who are you and what’s your role at LCTI?

My name is Mr. Kramer and I’m the Pre-Engineering & Engineering Technology teacher at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute.

What’s your educational background?

I have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State University.

What’s your professional background?

I started out my career as a design engineer for battery manufacturer, EnerSys in Reading, Pennsylvania. After being there for almost four years, I went to work as a quality engineer for Hexcel Corporation in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. I was there for almost four years as well before starting my career here at LCTI.

What’s your claim to fame?

While working at EnerSys, I was really proud to see one of my battery designs be published on the company website homepage. That was pretty cool.

What do you love about working at LCTI?

I haven’t been here very long, but I can say I really enjoy the interaction with fellow staff and students. It really shows here at LCTI, even during these times, that everybody wants to see everyone succeed and that makes it a great place to work.
