BB&T officials on June 29 presented Lehigh County and Lehigh Career & Technical Institute with a $100,000 grant for workforce development scholarships.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. | BB&T on Thursday (June 29) presented Lehigh County and Lehigh Career & Technical Institute with a $100,000 grant for workforce development scholarships.

The generous gift is a portion of $1.45 million donated to more than a dozen of the region’s schools and organizations through BB&T’s Economic Growth Fund at the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation.

LCTI Executive Director Tim Rushton and Director of Postsecondary & Workforce Education Jan Brna, along with representatives from BB&T, the foundation and the county, were on hand for the check presentation at the Lehigh County Government Center.
