ALLENTOWN, Pa. | The Academic Center is Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s full-day option for students who want to integrate their academic studies with their career and technical training.
One of this year’s two Outstanding Academic Center Senior Award winners is Austin Ebeling, an Emmaus High School student in LCTI’s Web Design/Web Programming program. Academic Center Assistant Principal Jamie Carr honored Austin on Wednesday (May 31, 2022) at PPL Center during the school’s Class of 2023 Senior Recognition Night. The prestigious, schoolwide award was one of six presented at the ceremony.
Austin, 18, earned impressive grades throughout his Academic Center tenure and is a member of the National Technical Honor Society. The Lower Macungie Township resident is also the top senior in his career and technical education program for 2023.
Teachers describe Austin as a young man with quiet confidence who stays calm when the pressure is on and then swoops in with a clutch suggestion or solution. Austin brings a kind, dependable energy to the Academic Center that enhances the school’s sense of community.
The Lehigh Career & Technical Institute Outstanding Academic Center Senior Award is presented annually to two full-day seniors who perform at a high academic level and demonstrate the ability to build relationships with their peers and staff while consistently exhibiting professionalism and leadership in the Academic Center.
