One of this year’s two Outstanding Academic Center Senior Award winners is Lucy Slowek, a Parkland High School student in LCTI’s Computer & Networking Technology program. Academic Center Assistant Principal Jamie Carr honored Lucy on Wednesday (May 31, 2023) at PPL Center during the school’s Class of 2023 Senior Recognition Night. The prestigious, schoolwide award was one of six presented at the ceremony.

Lucy’s a National Technical Honor Society member who was named student of the month twice in this school year alone. She does an awesome job serving as a student ambassador for her career & technical education program, the Academic Center and all of LCTI.

In fact, you may have heard Lucy talking about why the Academic Center is a good fit for her in Dr. Mark Madson’s #ParklandPride podcast.

The Lehigh Career & Technical Institute Outstanding Academic Center Senior Award is presented annually to two full-day seniors who perform at a high academic level and demonstrate the ability to build relationships with their peers and staff while consistently exhibiting professionalism and leadership in the Academic Center.
