Cosmetology students featured in newspaper

Several Lehigh Career & Technical Institute students were featured on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, in print and online editions of The Morning Call. Led by Cosmetology teachers Robert Salim, Tamara Faust and Kelly Fries, the students volunteered their skills and talents at Sharing Life’s New Year/Best You event in Allentown.

The event is in its third year at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and LCTI’s students have been stepping up to help out since the beginning. Students featured in the newspaper and on its website include:

  • Hailey Eroh, a Northwestern Lehigh High School sophomore.
  • Shamika Hatchett, a William Allen High School senior.
  • Joy McCammon, a Northern Lehigh High School junior.
  • Angelie Phillipe, a William Allen High School junior.

Formed in 2011 to support former Allentown State Hospital patients, Sharing Life is a nonprofit organization that serves people with mental health challenges, intellectual or developmental disabilities and those in drug or alcohol recovery, among others.
