Eagles to honor school officer as Hometown Hero

Officer Daniel Covolesky

Daniel Covolesky, Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s school police officer, is being celebrated as a Hometown Hero during this weekend’s Philadelphia Eagles game.

Dietz & Watson and the Eagles join forces to honor military heroes at every home game. Covolesky is slated for recognition during Sunday’s wild-card matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a rifleman, vehicle operator and primary marksmanship instructor with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. After his military service, Covolesky became a police officer in Montgomery County, where he served with professionalism and integrity until retirement.

Today, Covolesky is committed to supporting the families of fallen service members through his work with the Travis Manion Foundation. He volunteers as a youth mentor and a service project team leader, ensuring the values he learned in uniform are passed on to the next generation.

This is how we serve! Awesome job, Officer Covolesky! Go Birds! #weserve
