Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s Emerging Health Professionals program is currently accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year. The submission deadline for applications is Friday, Jan. 6, 2023. Thoroughly review the materials in Parts 1, 2 and 3 before beginning the EHP program online application in Part 4.
Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s Emerging Health Professionals program is a perfect fit for rising high school seniors who plan to pursue careers in health care.
Made possible by the partnership of LCTI, Lehigh Valley Health Network, Lehigh Carbon Community College and Penn State Lehigh Valley, this intensive, dual-enrollment program is designed to give students a head start on college and expose them to a variety of medical professions through job shadows, hands-on training and clinical study at facilities across the region.
Students who wish to apply for admission to the Emerging Health Professionals program must:
Reside in a Lehigh County school district
Be entering their senior year of high school
Have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better
Have completed biology and chemistry, each with a grade of B or better
Have either scheduled trigonometry or completed it with a grade of B or better
Have a written recommendation from their high school guidance counselor or teacher
Meet academic prerequisites for Lehigh Carbon Community College and Penn State Lehigh Valley.

Students who wish to apply for the Emerging Health Professionals program should:
2. Tell their school counselor that they intend to apply for the EHP program.
4. Print the EHP program signature form and complete Page 1 before giving it to your school counselor, who must complete Page 2.
5. Print the EHP program letter of reference form and give it to their school counselor or science teacher to complete.
Remember, the online application must be submitted on or before the deadline of Friday, Jan. 6.
