Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s Emerging Health Professionals program is currently accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. The submission deadline for applications is Friday, Jan. 24, 2025. Thoroughly review the materials in Parts 1 through 3 before beginning the Emerging Health Professionals program online application in Part 4.
Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s Emerging Health Professionals program is a perfect fit for rising high school seniors who plan to pursue careers in health care.
Made possible by the partnership of LCTI, Lehigh Carbon Community College, Penn State Lehigh Valley and Lehigh Valley Health Network, this intensive, dual-enrollment program is designed to give students a head start on college and expose them to a variety of health care careers through job shadows, hands-on training and clinical study at facilities across the region.
Students who wish to apply for admission to the Emerging Health Professionals program must:

Reside in a Lehigh County school district

Be entering their senior year of high school

Have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better
-
Have completed biology and chemistry with a grade of B or better
-
Have scheduled trigonometry or completed it with a grade of B or better

Have a written recommendation from their high school guidance counselor or teacher

Meet academic prerequisites for Lehigh Carbon Community College and Penn State Lehigh Valley

Be able to provide their own transportation
