Program Safety & Physical Considerations
- Prerequisite required for acceptance into the program
- High degree of self-discipline and focus needed in the program and industry
- Must have ability to be successful in college science courses
- Ability to tolerate Healthcare clinical settings during shadowing experiences
- Good personal hygiene
- Stamina to stand for long periods of time
- Stooping, bending, walking , and lifting
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds to waist level without restriction
- Must be committed to studying and completing homework assignments
- Must be able to wear N95 respiratory mask
- Paper mask for facial hair
- Industry standards include drug/alcohol/nicotine and background checks
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Ability to use tools of the trade
- Must follow HIPPA with patient confidentiality, including any form of social media/photos on clinical sites

Reading & Language Arts Levels
- College Level/College Prep Reading and Language Arts
- Must be enrolled in College Prep Academic classes
- Proficient in communication and speaking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Math Level
- Basic Math skills
- College Prep Algebra II
- College Prep Calculus
- College Prep Geometry
- College Prep Trigonometry
- Must be enrolled in College Prep classes
End of Year – 12th Grade Assessment Test

Industry Certifications
- Students will have the opportunity to earn industry certifications in the program
Program Requirements & Related Costs
- Uniform
- Lab Coat: $30
- Business Casual Attire
- Closed-toed shoes
- Dual Enrollment College Credit Costs including tuition for either Penn State or LCCC, textbooks, lab kits, etc.
- Must provide own transportation to and from the various clinical sites
- HOSA Fee: $16 plus competition costs, if applicable
- Full health certification with immunizations
- 2-step TB testing and Flu vaccine
