Free SAT, ACT study tools available for students

The bad news is that SATs and ACTs have been canceled or postponed in response to concerns about the coronavirus.

The good news is that, now, students have more time to prepare for both standardized tests. The better news is that Kaplan is offering free online preparation tools and you don’t need a credit card to sign up.

Kaplan’s SAT On Demand includes instructional videos on test content and strategy, practice questions and explanations, quizzes throughout each lesson and more. Students can sign up for one month of free access. For ACT prep, Kaplan offers a video outlining what to expect on the test, a full-length practice test and more. Students can sign up for a free seven-day trial.

College Board has not canceled its AP Exams and is instead readying plans to replace traditional, face-to-face exams with 45-minute, free-response exams that students can take online at home. The full exam schedule, free-response question types that will appear on each exam and additional testing information will be available by Friday (April 3, 2020). Kaplan is providing free AP Exam prep via YouTube Live, as is College Board.
