Hybrid Attendance

If a student is attending onsite at LCTI on hybrid days, the student must be in attendance physically at LCTI to be marked as “present.” If a student is not onsite physically at LCTI on hybrid onsite days, the student will be marked “absent” and appropriate documentation will be required.

If a student is attending virtually on hybrid days (not onsite), the student must complete daily assignment requirements posted by the teacher in a required timely manner to be marked as “present.” If a student does not complete the required daily assignment, the student will be marked “remote absent” and appropriate documentation will be required.

Full Virtual/Remote Attendance

If a student is attending virtually every day by personal choice or sending school district schedule, the student must complete daily assignment requirements posted by the teacher in a required timely manner to be marked as “present.” If a student does not complete the required daily assignment, the student will be marked “remote absent” and appropriate documentation will be required.

HalfDay Academic Classes:  Half day academics will follow the structure of all prior years; these courses meet on a cyclical basis.  Social studies meet 3/6 cycle days and wellness/fitness meet 2/6 cycle days.  In order to reduce confusion about the rotating cycle days (in addition to the rotating hybrid days), the half day academics will follow their cycle plan as originally intended and for which the curricula were originally developed.  Students in the social studies classes will be accountable for three attendance-bearing assignments each week and wellness/fitness will be accountable for two attendance-bearing assignments each week. The teachers will then populate the appropriate attendance codes for students based on the weekly timeliness-submission-of-assignment metric.  Students that show evidence of work completion will be marked present for the week while students that do not show evidence of work completion will be marked remote-absent for the week.  Attendance for half day academic courses will be taken each Monday for the previous week.
