BDi Machinery Sales Inc. is an importer of specialty agricultural equipment to meet the needs of fruit, vegetable, row-crop, and nursery growers. We are actively recruiting for a Full-Time – Farm Equipment Mechanic to support our growing company.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Use diagnostic equipment (based on manufacturer) to evaluate mechanical problems with machines

2. Complete repairs and service for all customer machines requiring repairs and servicing

3. Assembly and testing of all new, used, and customer machines

4. Provide guidance and direction to staff members on machines

5. Prioritize work orders and assignments to process jobs through shop

6. Finalize and approve completed work orders

7. Routinely inspect all shop equipment and work area to maintain a safe environment for all employees.

8. Maintain shop, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition

9. Keeps company abreast of requiring major repairs for shop machines – Forklift, Skid steer, etc.

10. Responsible for the maintaining supplies and parts to conduct services in work shop

11. Responsible the upkeep and appearance of shop and parking lot area

12. Manage Safe Organized Unloading of Containers and Stocking of Inventory

13. Conduct inventory of company’s parts supply as requested

14. Prepare shipping and trucking pickups of machine shipments

15. Generate and assist with Size Weight Dimensions for shipments

16. Label & attach Bill of Lading for shipments

17. Communicate Any Items Needed to Ordered

18. Assist with maintaining company vehicles records and repair data

19. Recommends all contract and out sourced repairs

20. Assist with the development of the shop costs for budgeting

21. View and attend available training classes and professional development as provided

22. Assist to implement shop procedures and policies

23. Practice safe work habits and use personal protective equipment as required

24. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

– Previous experience as a mechanic or service technician is required. – Strong knowledge of equipment and repair techniques and procedures (Farm Machinery a plus.) – Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues. – Ability to troubleshoot electrical components, power cords, solder, and perform some heavy lifting as needed. – Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. – Ability to work independently – Deadline oriented – Friendly and positive attitude and demeanor – Works well with others especially in a team setting – EOE

Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm
