LCTI alumna sees law degree in her future

Yazline Aponte, 21, is an LCTI alumna studying at Commonwealth University.

Lehigh Career & Technical Institute alumna Yazline Aponte was recently featured in an article published on Commonwealth University’s website.

Aponte, a Whitehall High School graduate in LCTI’s Dental Technology Class of 2022, is pre-law at Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg. She and other students in her program traveled to New York City in November to tour Fordham Law School and attend a Law School Admission Council forum.

The article chronicled Aponte’s trip, which the 21-year-old described as an eye-opening experience that helped her grow personally and academically.

She said, “It wasn’t just a trip — it felt like an investment in my future. Being surrounded by so many motivated students who share similar goals made me feel supported and confident in my path. I left feeling inspired, reassured, and excited for my future.”

Aponte is interested in studying at Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law after earning her bachelor’s degree and foresees a career in criminal law. “I can see myself advocating for victims, standing up for what’s right, and making a difference in communities that need strong representation,” she said.
