SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. | Lehigh Career & Technical Institute students from three programs teamed up in June to learn about forensic pathology.

Criminal justice, dental technology and health occupations students sat down with teachers June 3 to discuss how skills specific to their respective fields of study can be combined to solve crime. They hit the lab on June 4 to apply what they’d learned in the classroom.

Students used skull shape and size to determine age and gender at one lab station, for example, and at another they sifted through sand to find particulates.

The joint lab was an opportunity for students to learn about the importance of teamwork and why people with different professional backgrounds may be called on to work together. For more photos from the event, visit LCTI on Facebook.
