Lehigh Career & Technical Institute celebrates seniors

Lehigh Career & Technical Institute celebrated Senior Recognition Night at Parkland High School on May 30, 2017.

S. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. | Lehigh Career & Technical Institute on Tuesday celebrated the Class of 2017 with Senior Recognition Night.

Students’ family members and friends packed the Parkland High School auditorium for the annual ceremony as LCTI seniors received certificates of participation or completion for their career and technical education programs, as well as awards for their outstanding achievements.

Tyler Young, a Marketing & Business Education senior from Parkland, served as the evening’s master of ceremonies and Electrical Technology senior Cameron Smith delivered the keynote address. Smith, whose sending high school is Catasauqua, urged seniors to use the lessons learned and skills mastered at LCTI to make the world a better place.

“I encourage you to use your experiences here to defy the standards that come with society’s views of a millennial,” he said. “I look out and see a variety of young, successful men and women who will become the leaders of tomorrow. One can only imagine just how far we’ll go.”
