Media Mentions: LCTI instructor featured in WFMZ cooking segment

Lehigh Career & Technical Institute, its students and staff have been mentioned in the media for a variety of reasons in recent months.

Culinary Arts instructor Brock Cahoon demonstrated how to prepare blueberry-stuffed pork chops in a recent installment of Easy Eats, a WFMZ-TV 69 News feature.

Several LCTI students are featured in lehighvalleylive.com photos taken during the SkillsUSA District 11 Championships. Carpentry student Zaki Al-Bajali, Cosmetology student Jamie Knerr and Web Design/Web Programming student Alex Cevicelow were photographed as they competed in the Carpentry, Cosmetology and Web Design contests, respectively.

Students and an alumna from LCTI’s Plumbing & Heating program, along with instructor Kenneth Midgett, appeared on the Fall 2017 cover of PA Contractor, the official magazine for the Pennsylvania Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors. The cover photos feature students Saydee Thomas, Daphne Ziegenfus, Paige Knowles and Mikayla Knowles and alumna Jody-Ann Young. The cover and accompanying article highlight the growing number of women in plumbing.

The Fall 2017 edition of the magazine also shone a spotlight on Alex Fritz, an alumnus of LCTI’s Plumbing & Heating program. Fritz represented the PA PHCC at the National PHCC Plumbing Apprentice Contest on Oct. 5 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
