My name is Mr. Scott and I’m a Criminal Justice teacher at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from DeSales University and my Master of Science in criminal justice, with a specialization in criminology, from Saint Joseph’s University. I am currently enrolled in a vocational educators’ graduate program at Temple University. I completed my vocational I certification and am just about finished with my vocational II certification. Plus, I have only two more classes to obtain a master’s degree in education.
I am a certified BLS/CPR instructor. I am also certified to instruct MOAB, or Methods of Aggressive Behavior.
I have been in law enforcement for over 26 years. After retiring as a detective sergeant in the criminal investigations division with the City of Bethlehem Police Department in 2013, I held a position with Temple University as the coordinator for constable training in eastern Pennsylvania. I am in my tenth year teaching criminal justice at DeSales.
I am an avid scuba diver and love to ride my Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Sharing my experience and respect for the field to high school students fulfills a dream for me. I have now come full circle teaching high school students who aspire to be first responders.
