Who are you and what’s your role at LCTI?

My name is Ms. Galus and I’m the Dental Technology teacher at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute.

What’s your educational background?

I have an associate degree in dental hygiene from Harcum College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania College of Technology.

What’s your professional background?

I have been working in the dental field for more than 20 years. I spent five years working as a dental assistant and 15  years working as a dental hygienist. I have been teaching at LCTI since 2019.

What’s your claim to fame?

I have my clinical training from Harcum College and the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, which has allowed me to work in many different specialties of the dental field. In 2011, I obtained an additional dental hygiene license in the administration of local anesthesia.

What do you love about working at LCTI?

Working at LCTI as a career and technical education instructor allows me to teach students integral life skills as they prepare to enter the workforce and I love it. LCTI uses top-of-the-line equipment, imitating the real-life working environment. Such technical knowledge and experience is a key component of helping set students up for success.
