Who are you and what’s your role at LCTI?

My name is Ms. Maletsky and I’m a Criminal Justice teacher at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute.

What’s your educational background?

I have an associate degree in nursing from Lehigh Carbon Community College and I’m board certified in psychiatric and mental health nursing. I also have the following certifications:

  • Prehospital Trauma Life Support
  • ACLS and PALS
  • AHA CPR/First Aid Trainer
  • ASHI CPR/First Aid Trainer

In addition, I’m working to obtain my vocational education degree at Temple University and my pre-hospital registered nurse certification through Lehigh Valley Health Network.

What’s your professional background?

I became a registered nurse  in 2012 and have worked as an RN at KidsPeace Children’s Hospital and Fellowship Manor. I have been teaching at LCTI since 2016.

What’s your claim to fame?

I passed my VOC I certification last year for technical education and look forward to continuing my education with Temple.

What do you love about working at LCTI?

I love meeting students from all over the Lehigh Valley. It’s great to see all the different personalities come together and work towards a shared interest in their futures!
