Honor society welcomes 60 students

LCTI’s National Technical Honor Society chapter inducted 60 new members on Feb. 11.

SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. — Dozens of Lehigh Career & Technical Institute students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society on Tuesday (Feb. 10, 2026) at Lehigh Carbon Community College. The prestigious society welcomed 60 new members during the ceremony at LCCC’s Community Services Center.

Membership in the honor society is highly competitive. Students must maintain a grade average of 90 percent or better to be considered for induction. Hundreds of the inductees’ family members and friends were on hand for the 26th annual event, which featured remarks from Dr. Sandip Ladani.

Ladani is a dentist whose Schnecksville practice, Extraordinary Smiles, routinely provides real-world learning opportunities for LCTI’s Dental Technology students. He was recognized as an honorary member of the society.

“Leadership is not about perfection. It’s about purpose,” Ladani said, as he encouraged students to set clear goals for themselves and focus on progress rather than people pleasing. “You don’t have to be fearless. You don’t have to know everything. You just need to keep moving forward.”

NTHS officers Samantha Conrad, Jonah Lawrence and Breelyn Hand explained the honor society’s purpose and participated in a candle lighting before welcoming the following new members to their ranks:
