Students from Protective Services and Early Childhood Education delivered a fire safety lesson to preschoolers to mark Fire Prevention Month.

SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. — Lehigh Career & Technical Institute students from Early Childhood Education and Protective Services teamed up Monday (Oct. 12) to make sure the littlest kids on campus are also the safest.

To mark Fire Prevention Month, they delivered lessons on fire safety to the preschool children from LCTI’s on-campus child care center, World of Imagination. Lesson activities included practicing stop-drop-and-roll and trying on child-size firefighter gear. Students also talked with the kids about fire prevention and fire safety at home.

Early Childhood Education teacher Nikki-Marie Dinofrio said Protective Services students welcomed the little ones to their classroom with politeness and patience that helped make the lesson successful. “They were a pleasure to work with, and we look froward to this partnership each year,” she said.
