LCTI students tackle community service project in Allentown

LCTI’s Painting & Decorating students are working on a community services project at the CCI facility in Allentown.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. | Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s Painting & Decorating students are working diligently on a community service project at Community Commitment Inc.

Using materials donated by Sherwin Williams, students began repainting the city facility’s interior in late November. They hope to complete the project in late January or early February, instructor Keith Lyons says.

Community Commitment Inc. (CCI) is a nonprofit organization that provides counseling and other services for youth who’ve run into trouble with the law. The 701 S. 10th St. facility serves as a recreation site for CCI’s clients, so students set out to cheer up the space with bright paint colors, murals and more.
