My name is Mr. Maley and I’m an Advertising Design/Commercial Art teacher at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute.
I have a BFA in communication design from Kutztown University and an MED in career and technical education from Temple University.
I am a professional graphic designer who grew into an advertising design teacher! I completed 15 years as a graphic designer for companies such as Coca-Cola, Boscov’s, Rodale, and Baldwin Brass/Black & Decker.
I have been teaching in career and technical education for 16 years and earned my Master’s of Education in career & technical education from Temple University. I live in Kutztown, Pa., with my wife and two children.
During my career as a graphic designer, I was the Associate Art Director for Bicycling Magazine and had the opportunity to design a magazine spread feature for the United States Postal Service and their hotshot new cyclist named Lance Armstrong.
I love working with the students and enjoy teaching them about Advertising Design. I especially appreciate it when they use their skills in their chosen profession of graphic design, illustration and photography.
