The LCTI Truck Driver Training department has joined forces with the Logistics & Forklift Safety Training program to offer a combined course that is highly recognized by many distribution centers. The CDL course is divided into classroom theory, lab instruction, one student-one truck driver training sessions, and a skills exam. Equipment is comparable to current industry standards. The program is taught by instructors with years of safe driving experience. LCTI is a PennDOT Third Party Examination Site. Upon completion of the program, students will test for their Commercial Driver’s License on-site with state certified examiners.
The Logistics & Forklift Safety Training program combines classroom theory, lab instruction and hands-on practical training in a state-of-the-art, 17,000 square foot working distribution center equipped with a computer-controlled carousel and conveyor, hand-held RF computers and signature pads. Forklift equipment utilized during training includes propane lift truck, electric pallet truck, high rise reach truck, slip sheet truck, clamp truck and order selector truck. Training includes forklift safety, inventory control, bar coding, picking and packing, shipping, and National Safety Council Certification. Upon successful completion the student will receive a certificate of completion and a CDL license.
