HVAC provides instruction for entry-level technicians. Students are given instructions for the installation and service of residential and light commercial equipment. Students complete hands-on training on equipment installed in the lab as well as on trainers manufactured by Amatrol.
This 180-hour program covers the core skills needed for entry-level employment in the HVAC field. The course includes safety instruction, the use of hand and power tools, and hands-on learning with state-of-the-art equipment in a complete lab environment. Instruction includes soldering and brazing techniques and installation procedures for typical residential heating and air conditioning systems. Students will have the opportunity to earn industry credentials including the OSHA 10-Hour Safety Card and EPA 608 Refrigerant Handling Certification.
