Changes in technology have led to exciting advancements in the industry for automotive service & repair technicians. In the Introduction to Automotive Service and Repair course, students learn how automotive technicians maintain and service these complex machines and are prepared with the industry skills and certifications they need to enter this growing field. Students develop their skills through a combination of expert instruction and hands-on training in a state-of-the-art lab outfitted with 10 hydraulic vehicle lifts, and industry-aligned tools and equipment. Core instruction includes basic automotive service and repair, safety, tool and equipment use, preventative maintenance, inspections, suspension, steering, brakes, and an introduction to electronic systems and engine performance. Students will earn industry credentials including the Certified Emissions Inspector and Certified Safety Inspector via PennDOT and will be prepared to enter the industry as an entry-level Automotive Service Technician.

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:30 – 9:30 PM
Every other Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
