Michael Krupnicki presented Bradley Brandmeir with the Meritorious Award on March 26 during an American Welding Society banquet.

The American Welding Society honored a Lehigh Career & Technical Institute teacher on Tuesday (March 26, 2024) during the organization’s annual banquet at Northampton Community College.

AWS President Michael A. Krupnicki presented Bradley Brandmeir with the Meritorious Award for his devotion to the society and its mission to advance welding. Mr. Brandmeier is LCTI’s Welding Technology teacher and the society’s Lehigh Valley Section chairperson.

In addition to honoring, Mr. Brandmeier, the society announced results from the March 8 welding contest held at LCTI. Neither of the participants from LCTI — Louis E. Dieruff High School’s Jacob Dean and Salisbury High School’s Sydney Lombo — placed, but all the competitors were celebrated for their hard work. Twenty competitors from 10 career and technical schools in two states converged at LCTI for the event, which is in its 53rd year.

Congratulations, Mr. Brandmeir, and kudos to LCTI’s competitors!
