Who are you and what’s your role at LCTI?

My name is Dr. Greenawalt and I’m an Exercise Science & Rehabilitation Services teacher at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute.

What’s your educational background?

I have master’s degree and doctoral degrees in physical therapy, both from Misericordia University. I’m also an American Institute of Balance certified vestibular therapist.

What’s your professional background?

I spent more than 10 years as a physical therapist in a skilled nursing facility and three-plus years as a rehabilitation director at a skilled nursing facility. My areas of expertise include vestibular rehabilitation, positioning and age-related neurological disorders

What’s your claim to fame?

I started a knitting/crocheting club at the skilled nursing facility where I worked to improve fine motor coordination and improve social interactions.

What do you love about working at LCTI?

I love working with the future of health care and fostering their interest in the field, as well as expanding their understanding of how the body works.
