Who are you and what’s your role at LCTI?

My name is Dr. Mariotti and I’m an Exercise Science & Rehabilitation Services teacher at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute.

What’s your educational background?

I have a bachelor’s degree in health and exercise science from Gettysburg College,
a master’s degree in exercise science from Ithaca College and a doctoral degree in physical therapy from Drexel University. I’m working toward a master’s degree in education from Temple University and I’m a licensed physical therapist.

What’s your professional background?

I’ve been working as a physical therapist since 2009. I’ve worked throughout Philadelphia for Penn, Temple and Jefferson. I’m currently employed by Grandview Healthy System and St. Luke’s University Health Network. This is my third year as a teacher for LCTI’s Exercise Science program.

What’s your claim to fame?

I’m no that cool.

What do you love about working at LCTI?

The students. I love working everyday with these kids that have so much potential. So many of them are still unaware of all that they have to offer this world and all that this world has to offer them. Each day is different and special in its own way.
