New school year, new teachers at LCTI

SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. | Six new teachers joined Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s team for the 2022-2023 school year.

LCTI’s new Advertising Design/Commercial Art teachers are William Childs and Nicole DeVincenzo. They replaced Patricia Murray and Patrick Maley, respectively. Murray retired and Maley moved into a new administrative role: dean of students.

Regina Mento is leading Animal Sciences, the school’s newest career and technical education program for 12th graders. In addition to shadowing zoo and veterinary clinic staff, students in this program are dual enrolled in biology and veterinary technology courses at Lehigh Carbon Community College.

LCTI also welcomed Justin Conway, who replaced Kyle Kremposky as the Diesel Medium & Heavy Truck Technology teacher, and Brian Day, who took over for Richard Pfanders as the Small Engines/Recreational Vehicle Repair teacher.

John Sears, who first joined LCTI’s staff as an adult education instructor, is now teaching high school students in the Auto Specialization Technology program. He replaced Joshua Staack.

Another new staffer who works closely with students is school counselor Jessica Kamber. Kamber, who replaced Christina Luey, provides counseling services for students in LCTI’s Career Academy, as well as those from several other programs.
