Animal Sciences alum named Allentown Fair queen

ALLENTOWN — Lehigh Career & Technical Institute alumna Olivia Wisser was crowned Great Allentown Fair queen on Wednesday [Aug. 27, 2025] evening at the Astound Broadband Farmerama Theater. The title comes with a $1,500 scholarship furnished by Lehigh-Northampton Pomona Grange No. 68 and the Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market.

Wisser is a Northwestern Lehigh High School graduate in the Class of 2025 who won LCTI’s Outstanding Senior Award for Animal Sciences. The New Tripoli resident is a past Lehigh County 4-H officer who won multiple titles at the 2024 Schnecksville Community Fair.

Wisser works at her family’s dairy farm, as well as a local horse farm. She plans to major in animal science at Penn State University and become a dairy farm herd manager. The 18-year-old recently won scholarships from the Lehigh County Conservation District and the Lehigh County Farm Bureau.

Wisser is one of two young women with LCTI ties who vied for the title. The other is Faith Smith, a 16-year-old junior in our Veterinary Technology.
