Veterinary Technology

  • Care for gerbils, guinea pigs, and rabbits while studying animal anatomy

  • Assist with veterinary procedures and grooming for staff members’ dogs and cats

  • Examine animals for behavior and symptoms that could indicate illness or injury

Veterinary Technology students can earn the following certifications and credentials in high school:

  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider via American Heart Association
  • OSHA Certification via CareerSafe®
  • Pennsylvania Skills Certificate via NOCTI®

College Credits

A statewide articulation agreement known as SOAR allows students to earn college credit for their work in the Veterinary Technology program.
