Advisory committee members shape school programs

LCTI administrator Matthew Zampetti poses with new Occupational Advisory Committee membersSCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. — Lehigh Career & Technical Institute welcomed nearly 300 experts and professionals from every industry in the Lehigh Valley on Wednesday (Oct. 7, 2026) for the school’s biannual Occupational Advisory Committee (OAC) meetings.

The committees help educators shape the curriculum for all of LCTI’s high school and adult education programs. Members draw on their real-world experience to make recommendations about what students learn and with which equipment, tools or software they train.

OAC members enjoyed a three-course meal prepared by LCTI’s Commercial Baking, Culinary Arts and Food Services students and each committee’s newest addition received either an insulated tumbler or an insulated lunch bag. A hearty meal and a modest door prize are how the school shows its gratitude for the invaluable work OAC members perform on the committees, Director of Career & Technical Education Matthew Zampetti said.

After dinner, Zampetti posed for some quick photos with several of LCTI’s newest Occupational Advisory Committee members. Clockwise from top left are:
