Veterinary Technology

  • Care for gerbils, guinea pigs, and rabbits while studying animal anatomy

  • Assist with veterinary procedures and grooming for staff members’ dogs and cats

  • Examine animals for behavior and symptoms that could indicate illness or injury

Industry Credentials

Veterinary Technology students can earn the following certifications and credentials in high school:

  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider via American Heart Association
  • OSHA Certification via CareerSafe®
  • Pennsylvania Skills Certificate via NOCTI®

College Credits

A statewide articulation agreement known as SOAR allows students to earn college credit for their work in the program. Additionally, the following schools have articulation agreements with LCTI that apply to Veterinary Technology:
